Gets in the way. Parts fell off.
The hood actually made it more difficult to see the LCD. It was much more effective to just turn so the LCD was in my own shadow.

The rubber eye-cup fell off frequently. Eventually, after falling off three times over the course of one hour, I lost in it some tall grass.

fragile but useful - eyeglass wearers beware
I bought my first Delkin pop-up for a Nikon D70 and loved it, not only because it shaded the LCD, but also because it cut down on steaming up of the window when shooting in early morning cold. Delkin makes these it two models, regular and pro. The pro model moves the buttons forward, and I saw no reason to purchase that until I owned a D200. On the D200 the corner of the non-pro model kept hitting my glasses and soon scratched them. The benefits were definitely not worth damaged eye glasses. However, the pro model solved the eyeglass issue - eyeglasses hit rubber eye piece trim rather than the plastic corner of the Delkin cover. Purchasers should realize that they will do a lot of opening and closing of the cover and that it is fragile. If it is knocked, the tiny plastic pivots will break and the unit will do nothing more than the original Nikon cover did.

Trouble for me
Well made, good price. Excellent product if you only use LCD screen, and I recommend it for that. However,
cumbersome to use if you use camera viewfinder for your shots - which I do. Open then close then open, etc.. //don
